FAQ

  • A retainer is an amount of money paid to us and held in trust for your benefit. When work is performed on your matter, you are billed, and the payment is taken from your retainer. You will be provided detailed invoices that show what you are being charged for including the date, amount of time, and description of work performed. When your matter is finished and all billing is completed, any remaining balance is refunded to you.

  • We accept credit cards, electronic transfers, and offer payment plans on a case-by-case basis.

  • The documents included in an estate plan vary based upon the selected package. The goal is to create documents that suit your specific circumstances and preferences. For some people, this will require the creation of a trust and for others the drafting of a will.

  • Prenuptial agreements are right for any couple that wants to have peace of mind that they have done the hard work first. A good prenuptial agreement lays the groundwork for a strong marriage. It also provides a map through the challenges of divorce in the unlikely event it occurs. It’s important to have the difficult, but honest, conversations about expectations, goals, and desires before legally marrying. We are here to help guide you through this process and build a strong foundation for your future.

  • Mediation is a process by which a third party, often an attorney or retired judge, helps divorcing people negotiate a resolution. It is done confidentially and voluntarily, which helps the parties avoid unnecessary attorney’s fees and the stress of litigation.

  • Before your consultation, you should review your main concerns. It is helpful to have an idea of your financial situation and main objectives for your representation. You don’t have to prepare any formal documentation- we are here to guide you through the process.
